We started working with David back in Oct 2021, when we were hunting for a new-build community to settle in. He has been there for us since day one with community selection, build progress, closing, and even through our closing (February 2023) ensuring that our warranty items are being addressed! David was excellent with communication and often took the initiative to provide us progress photos and videos of our build, which we really appreciated as we were out of state. He would even reach out to the builder and warranty department to get information when we were struggling to get updates (building during COVID had many struggles). David was so pleasant to work with and it genuinely felt like we were working with a life-long family friend! We would absolutely recommend David for his communication, knowledge, experience, and commitment to his customers - you won't be disappointed! In fact, we continue to recommend him to our friends and family and love that their experiences have been just as great as ours. David and his team are great. He was very helpful during the build process especially since we were not living in state. David even sent us pictures and videos of the build progress along the way. His experience in seeing some common issues toward the end of the build process was invaluable. Lastly, the free third party home inspector his company provided really saved the day on a couple of things. The inspector even checked the roof and the crawl space for issues.

David kept us updated throughout the entire process, checking in, taking pictures, videos, and keeping in contact with the builder. Before we closed, he brought in an independent inspector to walk through the house and point out potential issues which turned out to be extremely helpful. Once we closed David still followed up to make sure we were settled and there weren’t any issues. We started working with David Burgess in February 2022. We contacted him and let him know we would be in town to house hunt and he cleared his schedule to meet with us and accompany us to several different subdivisions. We appreciated his understanding of the Manatee County real estate market and the professional suggestions he made along the way. We actually walked into a new development with David towards the end of our first day of house hunting and the sales manager answered “yes” to our three “must” questions-“Do you have any available lots?”, “Can you build a pool while building the home?”, and “Is your build time less than a year?”. We went under contract that same day. Building a home while living away in the Midwest was a challenge, but David stayed in communication with us and was just a text or email away with a quick answer to all of our questions. Thirteen months later (yes, it went over the 8-10 months the development initially quoted us), we are living in our beautiful new Florida home and couldn’t be happier! David is everything you want in a real estate agent-knowledgeable, experienced, personable, and honest. He attended our final contract meeting over FaceTime, coordinated the services of an inspector pre-closing, and attended our final walkthrough to see our home vision brought to life. It’s been several months since our closing and David continues to be in touch with us, checking in periodically to see if there’s anything we need. We are so appreciative we connected with David and can’t recommend him enough if you’re buying or selling a home. 10/10 recommend!

I had such a positive experience working with David as my realtor. He was kind, patient, honest, and extremely knowledgeable of the overall area and new construction builders. When I was first thinking of moving to FL towards the end of last year (after having lived in NJ my entire life - 35+ years), he took the time to detail all the areas he felt would be best suited for me. When we finally met in person, he took the time to meet me according to my schedule and took me to all the homes he thought I'd like best within my budget... the day(s) got progressively better as one home was nicer than the last. Making a move such as this one was so scary, stressful and nerve racking for me and he made me feel comfortable and confident that he would be there every step of the way, and he truly was. Once I found my forever Villa, he would send check-in texts and emails to make sure everything was moving along smoothly and when our final walk through came about, he was there with me to make sure everything was how it should be and he helped put together the list of items the construction team had to fix or finish.

Our experience working with David to purchase our new home in Lakewood Ranch exceeded all of our expectations! We began our home search in December 2020 while still living in northern New Jersey. We interviewed several real estate agents via zoom, and immediately we knew David was the right agent for us. He was easy to speak with and he really listens to what you are looking for in a home and community. Before speaking with David, we did our own research online and came up with several communities which we were interested in seeing. We did not share our list with David, but after he spoke with us he came up with his own list- which was practically identical to ours. We visited the area in February 2021 and David spent two days with us visiting several communities in the Tampa and Sarasota areas. The last community he took us to see was the one he believed that we would like the best. Based upon what David learned about us and what we were looking for, the last community he took us to see was Cresswind Lakewood Ranch so that we could compare it to all of the other communities we had seen. Although it took 2 years for the house to be built, that had nothing to do with David. In fact, David stayed in touch with us throughout the entire build process. When we didn’t live in the area, he would give us updates on the progress of the build and when we were in the area having difficulty getting updates from our builder he would follow up on our behalf. He was present at our pre-closing walk thrus and continues to stay in touch with us after closing to make sure all of our pre-closing items are completed. Without hesitation, we highly recommend David Burgess and the entire Burgess Team! Believe us, you will not be disappointed!
